THE ROLE OF THE EGYPTIAN KNOWLEDGE BANK (EKB) IN EDUCATION AND RESEARCH
The Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB), established in 2016, represented a cornerstone of the new education system as conceptualized by Dr. Tarek Shawki (Minister of Education and Technical Education 2017-2022) and his Deputy, Dr. Ahmed Daher. A massive curated knowledge platform that contains the contents of 120 databases from thirty-one international publishers, was designed to be available free of cost to all residents in Egypt. It served the general public, researchers, and students in grades KG-Grade 12. Learn more about the EKB through the Oral History Highlight Series with the architects and drivers of the EKB idea.
