THE ROLE OF THE EGYPTIAN KNOWLEDGE BANK (EKB) IN EDUCATION AND RESEARCH
The Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) was established in 2016. It represents a cornerstone of the new education system and is part of the state’s drive for digital transformation. More than an online library, the EKB is a massive curated knowledge platform that contains the contents of 120 databases from thirty-one international publishers. It was designed to be available free of cost to all residents in Egypt. It serves the general public, researchers, and students at all levels, from KG to Grade 12.
